The mechanics and gameplay have not been affected, only slightly improved and fixed certain bugs and shortcomings. The action takes place in the year 2040 and the player will have many characters with advanced technology and futuristic equipment. Recently, terrible events began in the depths of the seabed, due to which the governments of the leading countries agreed to resume the project to destroy alien creatures.
The plot tells the story of how the ancient Mars race, before being destroyed, sent a spaceship to Earth that crashed into the ocean somewhere millions of years ago. This is where most of the shootouts and missions take place underwater or on the shores.
After successful defense, the X-COM force focused on defending in the depths of the sea. IN X-COM: Terror From Below The player takes control of an organization that has been fighting alien monsters trying to conquer the planet.
